I believe that it is important to share my knowledge and love for space with others. On this page, you will find information about the outreach activities I have participated in, including presentations, workshops, and mentorship programs.
Through my outreach work, I have had the opportunity to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds, from students just beginning their academic journeys to young professionals seeking to expand their knowledge. I am passionate about inspiring the next generation of aerospace engineers and scientists, and I believe that outreach is a critical tool for achieving that goal.
Whether through speaking engagements, workshops, or one-on-one mentorship, I approach each outreach opportunity with enthusiasm and a desire to make a meaningful impact. I believe that by sharing my experiences and insights, I can help others discover their own love for space and encourage them to pursue their goals and dreams.
On this page, you will find an overview of the outreach programs and initiatives I have participated in. I am always looking for new opportunities to engage with the community and inspire the next generation of aerospace innovators, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have an opportunity you would like me to consider!
My experience as a space instructor at the Girls In Space (GIS) program, organized by WE-Hub (Women Entrepreneurs Hub, a government of Telangana initiative), was a truly transformative experience.
Over a span of six weeks, I had the privilege of mentoring and teaching high school girls about the wonders of space exploration and the diverse career opportunities it offers. Through hands-on activities such as CanSat building and rocket building, we ignited their passion for rocketry and satellites, and instilled in them the importance of scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
We also exposed the girls to the various fields of space, ranging from engineering, research, law and policy, medicine, and even art. We invited guests from DRDO and space startups like Skyroot Aerospace and Dhruva Space to share their insights and experiences, inspiring our young learners to explore the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
The joy and enthusiasm that the girls brought to the program was infectious, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch them grow and flourish under our guidance. It was a humbling experience to be able to share my knowledge and expertise, and to witness firsthand the impact it had on the next generation of women scientists and explorers.
Introducing students to the wonders of space is a passion of mine, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to do just that for 5th -10th grade students at Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam.
Through interactive lectures and hands-on activities, I had the opportunity to teach them about the mysteries of the universe, from the intricacies of our solar system to the marvels of distant stars and exoplanets.
One of the highlights of the program was a workshop on telescope assembly and operation. I taught students about the different types of telescopes, their workings, and their applications in space research. Seeing their faces light up with excitement as they peered through the eyepiece and witnessed the wonders of the cosmos was truly a rewarding experience.
Beyond the technical aspects of space sciences, I also had the chance to inspire these young minds with the limitless possibilities of a career in space. By sharing my own journey and the stories of other space professionals, I encouraged them to dream big and pursue their passions.
It was a humbling and fulfilling experience to be able to share my love of space sciences with the young minds. Watching their curiosity and enthusiasm grow was a constant reminder of the power of education and the importance of inspiring the next generation.
As a science communicator for LIGO India, I had the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between cutting-edge gravitational wave research and the wider public. Working closely with the scientists at LIGO India and IUCAA, I was responsible for developing and executing educational and public outreach initiatives to promote awareness and understanding of gravitational wave science.
One of my key responsibilities was creating content that would help communicate complex scientific concepts in a way that was engaging and accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. Through articles, posters, presentations, and other materials, I helped to demystify the world of gravitational wave science and bring it to life for audiences across the country.
I take great pride in my work as a science communicator, knowing that the impact of my efforts could be felt far beyond the walls of the research facility. By helping to spread knowledge and excitement about this fascinating field, I hoped to inspire the next generation of scientists and science enthusiasts alike.
The joy it brings me to inspire a new generation of young minds to look up at the night sky and dream of exploring the cosmos, and the incredible possibilities that exist beyond our planet, is immeasurable.
I had the incredible opportunity to lead an Astronomy and Telescopes Workshop for children aged 6-12 years old. At such a young age, children are naturally curious about the world around them and the mysteries of the universe. My goal was to transform that curiosity into a lifelong interest in space exploration and discovery.
During the workshop, I covered various concepts such as the solar system, star formation, and constellations. I demonstrated the working of a telescope and provided them with a hands-on experience of viewing celestial objects through it.
Leading this workshop was not only a chance to share my passion for astronomy, but also an opportunity to develop my leadership, managerial, and organizational skills.
