Giving back to the community has always been important to me, and I believe that volunteering is a powerful way to make a positive impact on the world around us.
I have been fortunate to have opportunities to apply my skills and knowledge in a variety of settings, and volunteering has been one of the most gratifying experiences. Through non-profit organizations such as the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), I have been able to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and work on projects that address important social and environmental issues.
Volunteering is a powerful way to make a difference, and I believe that it is a responsibility that we all share. Whether it's working on a local community project or participating in a global initiative, every effort counts, and together we can make a positive impact on the world.
As a committee member of the Gender Equality and Diversity in Space Exploration (GEDSE) of the Space Exploration Project Group (SEPG) of SGAC, I have the opportunity to be part of a campaign that promotes a future of space exploration that includes full gender equality and increases diversity.
The committee is composed of young professionals who share a passion for fostering a more inclusive and diverse space industry. Our committee's main objectives are to provide inputs on gender equality and diversity in the roadmap, act as a point of contact for related topics within the SEPG, and elevate the importance of gender equality and diversity in existing exploration roadmaps. By combining the lessons learned in the DGE PG with future space exploration mission plans, we aim to create a blueprint for a truly inclusive and diverse future in space.
Our goal is to create a space industry that is not only diverse but also inclusive and equitable. We believe that by promoting diversity and gender equality, we can inspire more people to pursue careers in space exploration and bring new perspectives and ideas to the industry. Our work is challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding, knowing that we are making a difference in shaping the future of space exploration.
With the rapid growth of the space industry comes a pressing need for responsible and sustainable practices to ensure the safety and preservation of our cosmic environment. As a passionate advocate for space safety and sustainability, I am committed to promoting awareness and taking action to protect our shared future in space.
Through my role as the PR & Communications Coordinator for the Space Safety and Sustainability (SSS) Project Group of SGAC, I have been fortunate enough to work alongside like-minded individuals who share my dedication to advancing these important issues. Together, we develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that promote our mission and engage with people across the space community.
Whether through creating compelling content, securing media coverage, or coordinating events and initiatives, I am proud to use my skills and expertise to support the vital work of the SSS Project Group. Through collaboration, education, and innovation, we can build a brighter future for space exploration that is both safe and sustainable.
